Since graduating with a Bachelor of Performing Arts from Monash University (with a minor in Yiddish) Galit has worked as a director, writer and performer, touring her shows nationally, and garnering positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. She has directed shows for La Mama, Fusion Theatre, Bearing Your Arts and Short and Sweet where her original musical “Joanne’s Real World” won best script and Galit best actress in the Sydney Short and Sweet Festival.
Last year Galit directed two plays for the Kadimah, the popular Balaganeyden – A Messy Paradise, and Sholem Aleichem Not Dead Yet. This year, A Night To Remember – The Ghetto Cabaret, Galit continues to explore Yiddish and Jewish theatre and is delighted to work with such an enthusiastic cast and creative team, many of them working in Yiddish for the first time.
When not in the theatre, Galit likes bike riding and growing vegetables.
